FX Combes explores the margins of the image, those areas where form is exhausted and control vanishes. Digital accidents, irregularities in screen printing, and unintentional traces of ink are not flaws: they reveal limits, flashes where creation breaks free from intention. Each work becomes a border territory, a space suspended between control and overflow, familiar and foreign. The mediums respond to each other, overlap, interrupt and pursue each other in a fragile but intense dialogue. Ibi Deficit Orbis: where the world is absent, where order fades away, an uncertain presence emerges, a ghost of matter and gesture. It is in these interstices, in these fringes where everything could tip over, that FX Combes’ work finds its strength: a cartography of the unpredictable, where each image bears witness to the fragile balance between intention and accident.
FX Combes explore les marges de l’image, ces zones où la forme s’épuise et la maîtrise s’évanouit. Les accidents numériques, les irrégularités de la sérigraphie, les traces involontaires de l’encre ne sont pas des défauts : ce sont des révélateurs de limites, des éclats où la création s’affranchit de l’intention. Chaque œuvre devient un territoire frontière, un espace suspendu entre contrôle et débordement, familier et étranger.
